11/12/22 Game Night

This Sabbath we decided to have our Thanksgiving potluck. Man, oh man what a treat this Sabbath was! Not just for the amazing meals and desserts bought or prepared by our members but also the visitors and old members that stopped by to fellowship! Speaking of visitors, thanks to Mr. Wally from Toppenish for stopping in!

It was agreed to start up our game nights, Saturdays, per Frances' suggestion (Pastor Jon's wife). Pastor Jon contacted the district’s young adults, and Maria (a young adult) contacted the Spanish church Pastor - Miguel, he let his district know.

So, Saturday night at 6:30 pm most of the congregation came back, and around 7:45ish the Spanish members surprised us as well to play board games! Granted, for it being the first time and a bit short notice, we were a little segregated and language barrier didn't help much BUT, we all had fun. Sometime later, we were told everyone felt welcomed. 

Amazing! A part put in place brought about a bigger family! It was like a polaroid of Heaven, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Gal 3:28 KJV

To top it all off translating for both pastors was able to hear this snippet:

 “Estamos para servirle en lo que necesitan (we are here to serve you in any way we can),

Ojala nos podemos unir a trabajar juntos (Hope we can team up and work together).”

“Yeah Me too. I hope we can do this again sometime; and it doesn't matter to me where church members go, here or there, as long as they attend church.”

“Si, igual. El punto es que vayan, (Yes, likewise. The point is members attend).”

Thank you for being a willing part of the church, for you are also a son or daughter of God with many unacquainted brothers and sisters!

Volume 8 of the Testimonies to the church pg.47 reads:

“The entire church, acting as one, blending in perfect union, is to be a living active missionary agency, moved and controlled by the Holy Spirit.”

And this is only the beginning!
